Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, born April 26, 1991 and professionally referred to by the name Ari Lennox, hails from Washington, D.C. and is the first female artist signing for J. Cole's Dreamville Records label. The first single, Pho which was released on 21 October 2016 was released by Dreamville Records. Her career began to grow in recognition. Shea Butter Baby, her debut album, was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox started uploading her music on the internet in 2012 when she released her debut mixtape, Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography In 2013. The singer continued uploading her tracks online through 2014 and released her own single Bound. Sweat It is part of Omen's Elephant Eyes album, which was released on July 21st, 2015. J. Cole had her send her songs for the Dreamville Team later that year, as he wanted Rihanna to work together on a few references. The announcement of her decision to sign with Dreamville Records was made on the 8th of December. Backseat is one of the songs she recorded with Cozz to record the collaboration album Revenge of the Dreamers II. On October 21 2016 she dropped her debut EP called Pho. Ari Lennox later appeared on J. Cole's track Change and was an opener on the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour in the year 2017. She also appeared in the music videos Nothing but the Best by EarthGang as well as Icarus together with Bas, her labelmates. The 16th of July, 2018, Ari Lennox released the first single Whipped Cream of her album debut Shea Butter Baby with an accompanying music video that was released on the 5th of September. On November 9 she released two additional singles titled 40 Shades of Choke and Grampa. Then, in November 2013, she released No One and Pedigree. She was featured with Cole in the Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby the 16th of November 16th, and released the song as a solo single for her debut album. A music video was released 20 February 2019 in order in conjunction with the song. Within one week, it had over 3,000,000 views. In December 2018 she performed on the From East Atlanta With Love Tour that featured 6LACK.
