Kim Delaney has won Emmy Awards for her performance as the character Detective Diane Russell. She has also starred in dramas such as All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives and CSI: Miami. As the sole daughter of a high-ranking executive in the United Auto Workers and a household worker, Delaney grew up with her four brothers. When she was a little girl, Delaney wanted to be a court-reporter. In highschool her modeling career began when she was able to model commercials, she moved to New York. Her first appearance as an actor was when she was a young, innocent girl in the 1981 soap opera All My Children. Delaney is well-known as an actor who has appeared featured in a variety of TV movies, and dramas. She has not had a good or satisfying personal life. She has also experienced two failed marriages, and has struggled with alcohol addiction. Her custody was taken away from her son in 2005.
